If you need a blog or just want to update your own content easily then a WordPress powered CMS systems is the way to go. Although it is typically known as a blogging platform, it's uses are varied and can be used to run a standard/non-blog website as well.
We offer two options for developing your website depending on your budget and your desire to be hands-on with the website. Firstly, we can create a custom design for your site and develop it as a WordPress Theme (these are files which contain the content pages of the website). Then you are given access to the WordPress Dashboard which is an administration area you can access from any computer, where you can create as many pages, categories or articles as you need. We can also set-up multiple users if you need more than one person to have access to the content editing.

Once everything has been setup, including incorporating the custom design that will match the rest of your website - no additional HTML skill is neccessary!
For more advance users there is a code view option where you can edit HTML code in a page, post or article. However this is not required for creating simple content like text or adding an image. The Dashboard area provides a basic editor known as WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) with a very similar layout to that of Microsoft Office products which most people are familiar with. Ulka Media can develop a custom WordPress Theme based on the design we create for you or if you have a design already we can convert it to a fully functional WordPress site.
If you are not confident populating the interior sections of the site or prefer to leave the full development to us, that is possible too. Like a normal, static website we would add the text and relevant images (provided by you) to each page to get you started but the added benefit of having a WordPress driven website over a static website is that you will easily be able to edit text on each page by yourself in the future.

If you need to get online quickly but only have a limited budget we can install
and configure WordPress, along with a set of essential plugins for you. You can start getting your content on the internet using the default theme until you are ready to upgrade to a custom theme design. Wordpress & Plugin Installation starts at £195.
